Thomas F. Fogarty M.D.

 

Dr. Thomas F. Fogarty of Pelham, NY, one of the nation’s leading family psychiatrists, died July 26, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Teacher, author and clinical pioneer in the development of the theory and practice of family psychotherapy. Dr. Fogarty was a co-founder of the Center for Family Learning and a faculty member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, St. John's University and Iona College. His clinical research on family systems has had widespread influence in this country and abroad. On behalf of the thousands of Westchester families he helped, his friends, family and colleagues, we mourn his passing.
